Women of the Parish—one responsibility of the Guild is to provide salads & desserts for funeral luncheons held for Nativity parishioners. Please respond to your chairlady when she calls for your help. Having no response to telephone calls is disheartening & leaves chairladies in a predicament. Funerals don’t have a long lead time yet they are important for the grieving families. Please respond the next time your chairlady calls or leaves a message.

Preamble
We, the pastor and members of Nativity Parish, Sioux City, Iowa, recognize that we are called to union with God, not merely as individuals, but as a holy community, the People of God. Within this community there exists a variety of ministries and gifts of the Spirit which enable each to work for the good of the whole. All of us together, formed by the word of God, recognize our unity of faith and love and together accept our common responsibility for the mission of Christ. To proclaim our unity of mind and purpose and to more effectively fulfill our Christian responsibilities and service to God and neighbor, we unite to form a Parish Council. We affirm and accept communion with our Holy Father and with the Bishop of Sioux City. We declare ourselves willing to accept their authority and to share their burdens so that together we may carry out the saving mission of the Church.
